My work

The art for me,is my space for reflection, like the beauty and represent a certain kind of emotions that I wish to transmit through my creations. Furthermore, now that I'm finishing my study of arts, I'm prefering use my personal likes and interest to support my works. The main topic of my work as an artist is to emphasize the beauty and sensuality of the women in every day actions, I would like answer the question about: Why do women have to put a side her natural sensuality nowdays?. After a long investigation about the women's role in society I chose two pictures from my favourites photographers in order to make a visual intervention with them. The tecnics that I decided to use are oil painting and photo-serigraphy. I started working with the background, generating two planes of complementary colours, after that I printed, with photo-serigraphy, to give a better emphasis to the body with the oil painting. I painted the human figure in a mimetic way to make the action in the scene the main theme of the image I was creating. As a result, the images create an important tension between figure and background.

My best birthday

I think that all my birthdays were good because is my favorite day, every year I celebrate my birthday with my family and friends, the most exciting is the date because is on September 15th, in this date everyone is happy and all the people was celebrate the September 18th. My best birthday ever was the last year, we were on vacation so I celebrated three times, one here in Santiago with my friends and twice in my home city Curicó, my mother is a pastry and she waiting for my with a big an beautiful  cake, all my friend were in my home singing "The happy  birthday" with a lot of balloons, then the party started and color lights were on, everyone danced and drank. The next day my family went to my home and we have dinner and gave me many gift.

The monsters of my childhood

When I was a child, i did'nt even care monsters, I have lots of fun playing with my dolls and barbies, they were the things that really enjoyed. I tried to avoid scare movies and all things realeted to that kind of things. My mother worked, so we have to spent our holidays in my grandparents' house, my cousins also were there, and in nights we joined all together to speak about scary stories that to my sound very funny and I didn`t believe really, one of that summer days my grandfather started a fire and he told us the story about a famous bird called tue-tue, the leyend said that in Curico countryside there was a bird who flew and sang something like the words tue tue, when the bird was hearing you have to invited drinking a cup of tea; many people who heard this singing, the day after they recieved a man to drank a cup of tea the man accepted the invitation and of course, I didn't believe but that day when I went to my bed to sleeping I was looking through my Window and I heard the bird, it was singing softly I was really scare and I went to sleep whit my grandmother, the next day I was freaking out but the man didn`t show up.

Gerhard Richter

I am going to talk about one of the best painter in Arts History, his name is Gerhard Richter.
Richter is a german painter, he was born in 1932 in Dresden-Neustadt , he studies at the Academy of Art in 1952-1956. After making murals, Richter beging a new phase in his career  it was when he discovered abstract expressionism and a series of tendencies.In this time he belonged to the group called pop art.
In 1962 he takes a new direction in painting, he use the photography with as a support, painting over them with a lot of paint and creating an abstract composition very diferent mixing the figurative to the abstract photography with painting.
I love Gerhard Richter because he use a very diferent  technique and materials, for example: in some big paints he use a long peace of wood and it moves horizontally  dragging painting with diferent colors creating a wonderful abstract composition. I think that is very interesting the performance he makes when he paint this big works

A picture

This pictures was took for a wonderful photographer, his name is Helmut Newton. He was an Autralian photographer and  he is considered the most important of the twentieth century. He has a elegant style because his photos are very glamorous. It was taken in the seventies. This beatiful picture shows a thin girl whit a gun in her mouth and is in black and white. I love this phorography beacause we talk about the suicide, the death and the history there ago, what happened to this girl, we think  why this girl takes this desicion. In the corner of the photography we can see a focus, this light we show that this girl is in a study, which put in doubt if this photography is real or not.

Helmut Newton loves the naked girls, in his photographys he has a lot of naked bodies in a beatiful places with an extravagant architecture, also he has a big man, with a muscled bodies and a lot of tan.

I love lasagne

I love cooking, because is very good  when I do it well. In my family my mother is the best chef , she is specialized in cakes because is her job, she teaches me all what she knows and I am so happy to learn, when I am her  age I want to cook like her, but in this moment I do it really good. I love cakes, muffins and chocolate cakes but I eat all the time and I realy love the savoury food, my favourite savoury food is Italian food, I love pasta, especially lasagne with a lot of cheese, the lasagne is very dificult to cook but it's my favourite recipe for cooking on my own. when I am alone I love to  have a treat and I love cooking a long recipe. when I cook lasagne I start for the most dificult, I hate chop onion, when I see I cry inmediately, how is very dificult to me I chop onion on first time, then I fry the meat with all condiments, after that I add onion and finaly I add the chopped tomatoes  and the sauce is good. I love the sauces espepcilly the white sauce, this sauce is with milk and its flavor is very tasty, My mother teaches me how I can do and is very easy, first I heat milk with a piece of butter and I wait for it to melt, then I add the flour, salt and oreganus and I stir all together. I dont cook the dough of lasagne because I dont have the cookware but I buy the douhg in the super market, when the sauces are good I put all the ingredients in a container and finally back in the oven for 40 minutes and I sit in my dinig room whit my delicious lasagne.

My favorite piece of technology

My favourite piece of technology is my mp3, is a music player, in last Christmas Santa Claus gave me and I felt so happy because I ussualy used my phone for listening to music, I hate to use my phone because is very big and the battery was low all the time, my mp3 has a wonderfull batery and I can listen to music for a log time. My beatifull Mp3 is very confortable because is very small and I can keep it anywhere.

 I use it every day  when I have
 to work on silence and when         
 I come to the university. The
 best moment when I use my
Mp3 is when I travel by bus I
 feel so happy. Is very easy to          
use beacause is so simple and
 is very beatiful because is black I
 would like that it was pink but
they didn't have it in the store.
I want to use my Mp3 for a long
time, I hope nobody ever steals it.

Expectation for a new semester

My  summer was  very calm, I rested a lot and for I be a good new year. This year at university I hope to have good grades on all my subjets and star with my personal proyect of paint for the next year I will be a good professional.

This is my last year in the university and I am so excited because my university life was very hard and longer than I though. My family was very excited too because they love my degree and they support me all the time. In this semester I am going to work very hard, I need to be the best student because I would like to travel for another countr.

 

Auto-biography

My name is Belén González, I was born in Curico city in 1989 september 15th, I have two older brothers and a little dog, all my life I lived with my mother, father and brothers until when I start to satudy at university. My mother is a pastry chef, she cooks a lot of delicious cakes and my father is a crane driver, he moves a lot of cars all arround  the city. When I was a Little girl I studied in a catolic school, after that I changed to a humanist school, at the last school I felt so happy because it was very free and I found my best friends.

 

 When I finished school I went from Talca where I studied my firts carrer at university of Talca, I lived in Talca for two years where I studied Diseño indiustrial, that carreer was very stressful and I didnt like it and also I hated the teachers and all the people,  after that I come back my fathers home, I lived here one year (2011), I found a job in a retail store and all my life was very bored, after that bored life, I started to study arts in Santiago and I felt so happy and complete.
Today I feel so happy with all the thing, family and friends I love the university and I love my partners.

childhood series

When I was a little girl my favorite series was
Sailor moon, I would be Sailor Jupiter because
 she was a pretty girl, she has a green skirt and
 a brown hair, I loved her style because she was
very tall and her legs was very long.



 At that time I saw this series when I arrived from
school, my mather waited  with milk and cookies for
 my brother and me every afternoon . On the same time
that I saw Sailor Moon my brother was happy with
 Dragon ball, he would be Goku beacause it was very
 strong, fast and he has a tail, I did not like Dragon ball
because that series was very aggressive and made me
 cry all the time.
